By     working     in     partnership     with     parents     and families   children   thrive   and   we   can   be   sure   that every   child   receives   consistent   care   and   education that is personal to their needs. Upon    registration    every    child    is    allocated    a    key worker,      this      helps      them      to      form      secure relationships   within   the   setting   and   helps   us   build a close partnership with those at home. Our   friendly   staff   are   always   on   hand   for   a   chat and    we    have    regular    parent    consultations    for    a more in depth look at how each child is getting on.

Stories in Motion

& Topics

Our aim at St Barnabas pre-school is to create lifelong

learners through making learning exciting and varied.

Our        half        termly        story        gives        children        the opportunity      to      engage      in      a      range      of      linked activities,        including        music        and        movement, drama      and      craft.      Helping      to      make      learning revelant,    engaging    and    fun    for    the    children,    as well        as        developing        a        love        of        books        and supporting crucial early literacy skills. At    the    end    of    each    term    the    staff    team    ‘bring the    story    to    life’    dressing    up    as    the    characters and acting out the story for the children! Alongside    each    story    we    have    a    related    topic, such   as   ‘All   about   me’,   ‘People   who   help   us’   and ‘Life       cycles’.       These       topics       give       children       the chance     to     gain     deeper     knowledge     about     the world      around      them      and      to      be      exposed      to interesting new learning opportunities.
